Zero station

Sometimes having no station at a city centre for a high speed line can be beneficial. The station is on the outskirts of the city instead. This allows huge stations to be built as the land is cheap there. Also, the train doesn’t have to change direction to link the cities allowing for a shorter journey and route. It is all about linking the stop to the rest of the city well. Do this and you are on to a winner. Remember, as we discussed before in the previous articles, passengers will have to change anyway to reach their proper, final destination so let the other forms of transport do this and allow the high speed rail to do the job of connecting passengers between distant cities.
